Hon Nonso Smart Okafor bags Award of Honour from Ambassadors for Youth Development and Empowerment in Nigeria.

Great leadership is a reflection of honest service, indeed Hon Nonso Okafor (Smart), Anambra state house of Assembly member representing Nnewi North constituency, has continued to promote the interest of Anambra youths through his unprecedented and quality representation at the State House of Assembly.

Hon Nonso Smart Okafor successfully sponsored the bill titled "Anambra Youth Development Commission and Empowerment Bill, Implementation of Sustainable Youth Policy and other Related Matters" which seeks to institutionalize youth empowerment and development in Anambra State, was passed on August 13th, 2020, during plenary, in Anambra State House of Assembly. 

In the light of the above, Ambassadors of Youth Development and Empowerment in Nigeria, (AYDEN) a non governmental organization that promotes Development and Empowerment of Nigerian youths, presented an Award of Honour to Hon Nonso Okafor on Tuesday 18th August 2020 at the Anambra state House of Assembly Complex in appreciation for his relentless efforts towards repositioning the youths of Anambra State to greatness through his recent bill on Anambra State Youth Development Commission and Empowerment Bill on the Hallowed chamber  of the Anambra State 7th Assembly. 

The National President of AYDEN, Amb Arinze Clems C. expressed sincere gratitude to Hon. Nonso for the Bill and his sterling performance in the state house of Assembly as a youth, saying that He is a worthy Ambassador of the Nigeria  youth constituency in general. He also appreciated the entire Anambra state House of Assembly members for supporting the Youth Development Bill and also urge other state legislative arm of the government across the 36 state in Nigeria to adopt the Youth Development Commission Bill to effectively combat unemployment and poverty amongst the youths especially during post COVID-19 pandemic. 

Members of the group present during the award presentation includes the National Secretary Amb Obijiaku Chibuikem, National Publicity Secretary Amb Nwodo Henry and the Anambra  State Chairman of AYDEN Amb. Okoro Chigozie.
